American Business School student, Sacha Humblot, introduces himself with a wide smile and a firm handshake. He has a right to be smiling: in only his second year of a Bachelor of Business Administration, Sacha is already booked for his second major professional conference.

Having held several positions concerned with production, Sacha knows the team at industry magazine, ‘Les Nouvelles Esthetiques.’ This is how a discussion about his Consumer Behaviour class at the American Business School with Editor-in-Chief Madame Michelle de Lattre-Pierantoni, turned into an invitation to speak at the 39th International Congress for Health and Beauty professionals.

Sacha’s interest in the psychology of selling has been inspired by Maslow’s pyramid. Demonstrating to his audience how this social theory is highly applicable to the health and beauty industry, Sacha profiled consumers and demonstrated simple techniques for making a product more essential to each category of client.  Sacha was glad to have learnt practical presentation skills in his classes at the American Business School and has demonstrated capacity to adapt theory to real life situations.

Coming soon: an outline of his vision for applying Maslow’s theory to the Health and Beauty Industry and a video link of his advice to industry professionals. He will be speaking at next year’s congress in March 2010.
